AN ACT CONCERNING LASER HAIR REMOVAL BY ELECTROLOGISTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapters 368ll and 388 of the general statutes be amended to (1) allow electrologists to provide hair removal services using a laser without the supervision of a health care professional, and (2) require training for electrologists in the use of a laser to perform hair removal.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow electrologists to use lasers for hair removal without supervision.
