AN ACT CONCERNING TEST BED TECHNOLOGIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 16a-4d of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection (1) to evaluate an energy efficiency or renewable energy technology, product, or process for a potential test program; (2) to prescribe a specific timetable for the commissioner's evaluation and report to occur; (3) to request the Commissioner of Administrative Services to procure the technology, product, or process for use by any or all state agencies; and (4) to designate a protocol for evaluating a technology, product, or process previously procured by a municipality.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to cooperate with other state agencies in an effort to locate, test and procure safe and energy efficient technologies for state agency use.
