AN ACT REQUIRING LARGER HOMES TO BE MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require owners or general contractors of homes that have an area of more than three thousand five hundred feet to install energy efficiency measures, such as insulation, window improvements and lighting.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require larger homes to be more energy efficient.
