AN ACT CONCERNING CONTRIBUTIONS TO AND INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURES FROM POLITICAL COMMITTEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 9-601d of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any independent expenditure from a political committee on behalf of a candidate that has engaged in solicitation of any contribution to such political committee, provided such solicitation occurred in the time preceding equal to the term of office sought by such candidate.
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the amount of certain independent expenditures by political committees.
