AN ACT CONCERNING THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to require that the total of (1) the amount of any grant under the Citizen's Election Program to a candidate for state senator or state representative, and (2) the amount of qualifying contributions to be received by such candidate in order to be eligible for such grant, shall not exceed twenty-five thousand dollars.

Statement of Purpose: 

To decrease the amount of grants under the Citizens' Election Program.
