CANDELORA, 86th Dist. REP. HOYDICK, 120th Dist. REP. MINER, 66th Dist. REP. O'NEILL, 69th Dist. AN ACT ESTABLISHING A FUND PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO WOMEN PURSUING DEGREES IN THE STEM FIELD. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require the Board of Regents for Higher Education to establish a fund, which shall accept private contributions, for the purpose of providing scholarships to women pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Statement of Purpose: To encourage women to seek degrees in the STEM fields.
