AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF VIDEO CAMERAS IN FAMILY COURT PROCEEDINGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 815j of the general statutes be amended to provide that any party to a family court proceeding may videotape a court proceeding in which he or she participates, unless an opposing party in the proceeding states on the record his or her opposition to such videotaping. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To permit a party to a family court proceeding to videotape any proceeding in which he or she participates.
