AN ACT CONCERNING RESIDENCY RESTRICTIONS FOR REGISTERED SEXUAL OFFENDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 969 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a registered sexual offender from residing within one thousand feet of the real property comprising a public or private elementary or secondary school or a child care center.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect our children and keep them safe from convicted sexual offenders by requiring that convicted sexual offenders reside at least one thousand feet away from a school or child care center.
