AN ACT CONCERNING EVIDENCE OF HEALTH INSURANCE PAYMENTS IN PERSONAL INJURY AND WRONGFUL DEATH ACTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 52-225a of the general statutes be amended to permit a party to a personal injury or wrongful death action to introduce evidence of health insurance payments at the time of trial in order to establish the true amount of the plaintiff's damages.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a party to a personal injury or wrongful death action to introduce evidence of health insurance payments to establish the true amount of the plaintiff's damages.
