AN ACT CONCERNING TRAINING AND OVERSIGHT OF ATTORNEYS HANDLING MATTERS THAT ARE TRANSFERRED FROM A PROBATE COURT TO THE JUVENILE COURT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 887 of the general statutes be amended to ensure that appointed counsel in a case transferred from a Probate Court to the Juvenile Court is subject to oversight and training from the Division of Public Defender Services.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that appointed counsel in a case transferred from a Probate Court to the Juvenile Court is subject to oversight and training from the Division of Public Defender Services.
