AN ACT CONCERNING THE ADOPTION OF BUDGETS IN COMMON INTEREST OWNERSHIP COMMUNITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 47-261e of the general statutes be amended to provide that when adopting a budget in a common interest ownership community, the proposed budget referendum shall be phrased in a way that ensures that if a unit owner is in favor of the proposed budget, the vote to be cast is "YES".
Statement of Purpose:
To more clearly phrase the budget referendum question in a common interest ownership community.
