AN ACT ALLOWING FOR A STANDARD MUNICIPAL CODE IN CERTAIN URBAN AREAS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) exempt certain urban areas from municipal regulation and replace such regulation with a standard municipal code created and enforced by the state, and (2) allow businesses to choose between the state's standard municipal code and the municipal regulation.
Statement of Purpose:
To help Connecticut become more business friendly by streamlining the local regulatory approval process.
