AN ACT CONCERNING THE BOUNDARIES OF REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 32-741 of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Economic and Community Development, in consultation with the Office of Policy and Management, to establish the boundaries of regional economic development districts by a date certain which shall encompass the boundaries of one or more regional councils of governments. In establishing such boundaries, the Department of Economic and Community Development shall provide for public participation.
Statement of Purpose:
To align the boundaries of regional economic development districts with the boundaries of one or more regional councils of government.
