AN ACT CONCERNING PEDIATRIC VISION SCREENING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2015) Each primary care provider, as defined in section 19a-7o, serving children in this state, excluding a hospital emergency department and its staff, shall provide an annual vision screening to each patient who is not yet eligible to enroll in kindergarten pursuant to section 10-184 of the general statutes, beginning at one year of age until such time as such child enrolls in kindergarten.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require vision screening for young children.
