AN ACT EXPANDING FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES BY INCLUDING SEVENTEEN YEAR OLDS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 7-323l of the general statutes be amended to allow a youth seventeen years of age to participate in an entry level course for certification of fire service personnel at a state fire school or regional fire school, provided such youth has the consent of a parent or guardian and is sponsored by a fire department. Statement of Purpose: To expand fire fighting training opportunities by including seventeen year olds.
