AN ACT REQUIRING CONSTRUCTION OF A COMMUTER RAIL STATION IN ENFIELD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Transportation, not later than 2016, to build a commuter rail station for the New Haven to Springfield rail line in the Thompsonville section of Enfield.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a rail station for the New Haven to Springfield rail line at an important population hub, and encourage transit-oriented development there.
