AN ACT CONCERNING A VETERANS' PREFERENCE IN PRIVATE EMPLOYMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 557 of the general statutes be amended to allow private employers to give preference in hiring to honorably discharged veterans, spouses of disabled veterans and surviving spouses of honorably discharged veterans.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow for a hiring preference for veterans in private employment.
