HOYDICK, 120th Dist. REP. MINER, 66th Dist. REP. O'NEILL, 69th Dist. AN ACT INCREASING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR VETERANS AND MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, in conjunction with the Department of Veteran Affairs, to increase state resources to better identify through screening programs the mental health needs of the state's active duty soldiers and veterans and provide increased assistance where needed. Statement of Purpose: To assist our soldiers and veterans by creating a safety net of services to help with their transition from the military to civilian life.
