AN ACT APPROPRIATING STATE FUNDS FOR THE NEW HAVEN HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO FUND NURSING POSITIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sufficient funds be appropriated to the Department of Public Health, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for a grant to the New Haven Health Department to add at least eight full-time nursing positions.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow the New Haven Health Department to meet the increased demands of students' health needs and to comply with state mandates for ensuring public health.
