AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR SPOUSES OF MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-81 of the general statutes be amended to provide an exemption from the property tax on real property or motor vehicles to the amount of five hundred dollars belonging to the spouse of a member of the armed forces who has been deployed to a designated combat zone for at least one hundred twenty consecutive days.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide certain tax exemptions to spouses of deployed members of the armed forces.
