AN ACT CONCERNING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION CENTERS OPERATING GRANT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That (1) the sum of fourteen million seven hundred thirty-five thousand five hundred sixty-five dollars be appropriated to the Department of Education, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the purpose of the agricultural science and technology education centers operating grant, and (2) the sum of eighteen million four hundred eighty-four thousand five hundred sixty-five dollars be appropriated to the Department of Education, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, for the purpose of the agricultural science and technology education centers operating grant.
Statement of Purpose:
To achieve equity between the state's Vo-Ag programs and the regional non-Sheff host magnet school programs as recommended by the Governor's task force for state education funding.
