AN ACT PROHIBITING THE SUSPENSION AND EXPULSION OF CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 10-233c and 10-233d of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the suspension or expulsion of any child enrolled in a publicly funded preschool program and any student enrolled in a public elementary school who is under eight years of age.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the suspension or expulsion of a student under eight years of age who is enrolled in any publicly funded preschool program or elementary school.
