AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROHIBITION OF OUT-OF-SCHOOL SUSPENSIONS FOR STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (g) of section 10-233c of the general statutes be amended to prohibit out-of-school suspensions for any child enrolled in a public preschool program and any student enrolled in a public elementary school who is under eight years of age.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit out-of-school suspensions for students under eight years of age from any public preschool program or elementary school.
