AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESS TO ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPELLED STUDENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 10-233d of the general statutes be amended to ensure that all students under eighteen years of age who have been expelled receive access to an alternative educational opportunity during the period of expulsion and to require that such alternative educational opportunity comply with the provisions of section 10-16 of the general statutes regarding the number of hours of actual school work.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure access to alternative educational opportunities for expelled students.
