AN ACT CONCERNING BENEFITS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SOLDIERS, SAILORS AND MARINES FUND.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That part II of chapter 506 of the general statutes be amended to require that the next of kin of a member of the Connecticut National Guard killed on duty or in training be eligible for benefits available through the Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Fund notwithstanding such member of the National Guard having a Servicemembers Group Life Insurance policy that has expired or in which the beneficiaries for such policy are outdated.
Statement of Purpose:
To award benefits to the next of kin of certain members of the National Guard.
