AN ACT CONCERNING COAL GENERATING FACILITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require development of a plan to replace coal generating facilities and to establish a community transition fund for the purpose of mitigating impacts of the retirement of coal generating facilities on employees of such facilities and on the municipalities where such facilities are located.
Statement of Purpose:
To adopt a state transition plan to replace the generating capacity lost by coal generating facility retirements with renewable energy generating facilities and to establish a community transition fund for the purpose of mitigating impacts of the retirement of coal generating facilities on employees of such facilities and on the municipalities where such facilities are located.
