AN ACT CONCERNING THE ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY TAX ON RECREATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subdivision (4) of subsection (f) of section 12-71 of the general statutes be amended to increase the amount of time a registered motor vehicle designed or used for recreational purposes must be located in a town in order to be assessed for property tax purposes from three months in any year to four months in any year. Statement of Purpose: To encourage nonresidents to visit the state for longer periods of time by extending the amount of time that a recreational motor vehicle may be located in a town without being assessed for property tax purposes.
