AN ACT PROVIDING FUNDING FOR THE COMPLETION OF A HYDROLOGY STUDY ON THE LONG POND DAM IN LEDYARD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the sum of twenty thousand dollars be appropriated to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the purpose of funding the completion of a hydrology study on the Long Pond Dam in the town of Ledyard.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent the negative impact that the loss of the Long Pond Dam would have on state maintained land and other municipalities in the area of such dam.
