AN ACT CONCERNING A REDUCTION OF THE MINIMUM BUDGET REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 10-262i of the general statutes be amended to permit a local or regional board of education to reduce its budgeted appropriation for education to an amount equal to the amount for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide tax relief for towns by allowing school districts to reduce their minimum budget requirements to 2009 levels.
