AN ACT REQUIRING IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LEARN HERE, LIVE HERE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 32-4i of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to implement the Learn Here, Live Here program.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage graduates of a public or independent institution of higher education, health care training school or technical high school in this state to live and work in Connecticut by allowing them to direct a portion of their income tax payments into a first-time homebuyers account for down payment on a home in Connecticut.
