AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR THE REACH OUT AND READ PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2015) The sum of three hundred thousand dollars is appropriated to the Office of Early Childhood, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the purpose of a grant to the Reach Out and Read organization for the purpose of promoting early literacy and school readiness in preschool-age children.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to support the Reach Out and Read program.
