AN ACT CONCERNING THE UNDERWRITING OR RATING METHODOLOGY OF CERTAIN PRIVATE PASSENGER NONFLEET AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE POLICIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require, if an automobile insurance company offers and an insured under a private passenger nonfleet automobile insurance policy uses a monitoring device that captures the insured's driving information, such insurance company to provide to such insured an automobile insurance policy that is underwritten or rated using the insured's driving information in lieu of any territorial classifications.
Statement of Purpose:
To require automobile insurance companies to provide to insureds who use a monitoring device that captures the insured's driving information a private passenger nonfleet automobile insurance policy that is underwritten or rated using the insured's driving information in lieu of any territorial classifications.
