AN ACT CONCERNING CONTINUATION OF PRIVATE PASSENGER NONFLEET AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF THE REGISTERED AUTOMOBILE OWNER. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require automobile insurers to continue insurance coverage on private passenger nonfleet automobiles for at least sixty days after receiving notice of the death of the registered owner of such automobile. Statement of Purpose: To require automobile insurers to continue insurance coverage on private passenger nonfleet automobiles for at least sixty days after receiving notice of the death of the registered owner of such automobile.
