AN ACT CREATING A SHORT FORM TO REPORT A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 104 of the general statutes be amended to require (1) the Police Officer Standards and Training Council to develop a short- form accident report to be used in the investigation of any motor vehicle accident, and (2) a member of the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection or any municipal police department to use such form. Statement of Purpose: To reduce the workload of police and expenses by shortening the standard motor vehicle accident report form.
