AN ACT REQUIRING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR CERTAIN HEALTH INSURANCE RATE INCREASE REQUESTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require the Insurance Department to hold a public hearing for any health insurance premium rate increase of twelve per cent or more requested by an insurer.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Insurance Department to hold a public hearing for any health insurance premium rate increase of twelve per cent or more requested by an insurer.
