AN ACT CONCERNING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ADMINISTERED BY NURSING HOMES TO VETERANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-521c of the general statutes be amended to require nursing home facilities and residential care homes to dispense and administer prescription drugs obtained by a patient through a prescription drug program or health plan offered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs even if the method for dispensing or administering such prescription drugs is different from the method set forth in such facility or home's policy for dispensing and administering prescription drugs.
Statement of Purpose:
To facilitate the administration of prescription drugs to veterans who are patients at nursing home facilities.
