AN ACT WAIVING INTEREST AND PENALTIES FOR DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAXES FOR CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 204 of the general statutes be amended to require municipalities to waive interest and penalties for delinquent property tax payments for any resident who is a member of the armed forces and incurred such interest and penalties while on active duty outside of the United States.
Statement of Purpose:
To exempt active duty military personnel from delinquent tax penalties and interest while on duty outside of the United States.
