AN ACT CONCERNING GRANTS FOR PRIORITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS TO SCHOOL BUILDINGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-265h of the general statutes be amended to expand the definition of "general improvements to school buildings", authorize the Commissioner of Education to set aside up to twenty-five per cent of a town's bond authorization for general improvements to school buildings for sustainability support and require priority school districts to establish a life-cycle stewardship plan for the school building project that will demonstrate the efforts that the school district is making to extend the life cycle of its facilities.
Statement of Purpose:
To assist priority school districts by revising the grant program for general improvements to school buildings.
