AN ACT CONCERNING ENFORCEMENT OF A FOREIGN LIBEL AWARD AGAINST A STATE JOURNALIST.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 861 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit enforcement of foreign libel award against a state journalist if the foreign court does not offer adequate protections of the rights of the defendant journalist.
Statement of Purpose:
To refuse to honor or enforce a questionable foreign libel judgment.
