AN ACT CONCERNING THE TERMINATION OF DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS UPON THE DEATH OF THE PERSON MAINTAINING THE ACCOUNT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 45a-334a of the general statutes be amended to provide that a relative may terminate the digital or social media account of a deceased relative.
Statement of Purpose:
To better protect the wishes of state residents.
