AN ACT CONCERNING PRESUMPTIVE MEDICAID ELIGIBILITY FOR HOME CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17b-342 of the general statutes be amended to establish presumptive eligibility for the Connecticut home-care program for the elderly for individuals who otherwise meet income and asset criteria and whose medical needs meet or exceed a skilled nursing home level of care.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the waiting time for eligible persons to receive long-term care in their homes.
