AN ACT DESIGNATING AUGUST FOURTEENTH AS GUSTAVE WHITEHEAD DAY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-29s of the general statutes be amended to designate August fourteenth of each year as Gustave Whitehead, First in Flight, Day.
Statement of Purpose:
To honor aviation pioneer Gustave Whitehead, the first man to make a manned, powered, controlled flight.
