AN ACT CONCERNING THE RETENTION OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS AND THE STAFF QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-16p of the general statutes be amended to require the Office of Early Childhood to develop a plan to address issues relating to the staff qualifications requirement for school readiness educators, including, but not limited to, retention of such educators in school readiness programs upon obtaining a bachelor's degree.
Statement of Purpose:
To develop a plan that addresses the issue of the retention of early childhood educators in school readiness programs who obtain a bachelor's degree.
