AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPARENCY IN ELECTION ADMINISTRATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require that all documentation used or created during an election, including, but not limited to, any report generated by a voting tabulator or other vote-tallying machine, any voter check list, any spreadsheet and any tally sheet shall be (1) retained by the clerk of the municipality in which such election was held, and (2) available for public inspection.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide complete transparency of election results by requiring all process documentation to be public record.
