AN ACT PROVIDING STATE FUNDING FOR PROGRAMS THAT SERVE GRANDPARENTS WHO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR RAISING THEIR GRANDCHILDREN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sufficient funds be appropriated to state agencies administering programs that serve grandparents who assume responsibility for raising their grandchildren, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, to support such programs.
Statement of Purpose:
To assist programs designed to support grandparents who have assumed responsibility for caring for and nurturing their grandchildren.
