Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2015) No public institution of higher education, as defined in section 10a-173 of the general statutes, or faculty member of a public institution of higher education shall require a student of such institution of higher education to use a new edition of a textbook as part of a course offered at such public institution of higher education within three years of the date of the initial publication of the previous edition of such textbook.
