AN ACT CONCERNING ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ISSUES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Education shall conduct a study relating to elementary and secondary education issues in the state. Not later than May 26, 2017, the department shall submit a report of the results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Education to study issues relating to elementary and secondary education issues in the state.
