AN ACT CONCERNING A CAPITOL MEMORIAL FOR WORLD WAR II MERCHANT MARINES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The sum of ____ dollars is appropriated to the Department of Veterans' Affairs, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, for the establishment of a memorial to honor the members of the Merchant Marine of the United States during the Second World War, and for the placing of such memorial in a suitable location on the State Capitol grounds.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To establish and place on the State Capitol grounds a memorial honoring the service of members of the Merchant Marine of the United States during the Second World War.
