Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management shall conduct a study of the impact of requiring all state employees to work a forty-hour work week. On or before October 1, 2016, the secretary shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such study to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to appropriations and the budgets of state agencies and labor and public employees. Such report shall include a summary of the potential positive and negative impacts, including any financial impacts, implementing such forty-hour work week may have on the state.
