AN ACT CONCERNING UNFUNDED PUBLIC SAFETY MANDATES ON MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the state to reimburse municipalities for the entire cost of any state mandate regarding matters related to public safety, including, but not limited to, personnel and equipment.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide municipalities relief from public safety mandates.
